Creating an Eco-Friendly Lifestyle

Regardless of the size of your home or type of fuel your car uses, you can still make smart environmental choices.  Here’s how to make going green add a little green back to your wallet:

1. Collect rainwater in a plastic barrel and use it to hydrate outdoor plants – home kits are available.

2. Use dishes instead of disposable plates and cups for parties.  If you don’t quite have enough, borrow extras from a family member or neighbor’s dish collection.

3. Join the Freecycle Network.  This online forum is a place to post items to give away and look for items you need.

4. Reduce wasted food by purchasing only what you can consume and saving leftovers for later.
